The result of the collective work of scientific researchers fromseveral Czech companiesThe flying bicycle, which rises into the air thanks to the power of six propellers driven by electric motors.
Slightly resembling a quadcopter, the device was controlled from the ground while a mannequin with sand sat behind the bicycle’s handlebars. The duration of the device’s stay in the air is somewhat limited by the small size of the batteries, which bear the entire load of moving the 100-kilogram machine above the surface. And steering this vehicle in the air with the same agility as a bicycle would be quite difficult due to its dimensions. Although the creators of the device claim that they worked on it more for the sake of fulfilling a childhood dream than for commercial success, who knows: maybe scenes from the cult 1982 film “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” directed by Steven Spielberg will soon become a reality?
